PS Engineering audio panel made for special missions

PS Engineering got the message loud and clear from the special mission community and produced a new variant of its PAC45 audio control system with a dual control head.

The firm based in Lenoir City, Tennessee, incorporated the same feature set of the PAC45 audio panel, including spatial audio that makes audio from different sources seem to come from particular locations relative to the wearer. The new PAC45D incorporates two sets of controls into one control head, offering some positional flexibility for the pilot, who can access the critical controls from the right or left seat.

The audio control hub can be remotely mounted or attached to the panel-mounted unit.

“We had many conversations with industry leaders and system users, in shops completion centers and at trade shows. We asked them what we should do next. The consensus was unanimous, they needed a dual control head. Now PS Engineering has what they need,” said Greg Ledbetter, product line manager for PS Engineering, in a news release.

The PAC45D list price is $8,995, and the unit will be on display at the firm’s booth at HAI Heli-Expo in Anaheim, California; the exhibit runs January 28 through 30. Additional information is available on the company website.
