FAA to publish domestic and international notices on demand

Ten days’ processing time will be required for publishing on-demand notices, which should be submitted by email. Notices for special events may be published up to 60 days prior to the event.

To streamline submissions, the FAA developed a template that can be downloaded as a Microsoft Word document from the domestic notices and international notices websites.

The two websites were established after the Notices to Airmen Publication was discontinued in 2020.

Domestic notices include “special notices or notices containing graphics pertaining to almost every aspect of aviation, such as military training areas, large scale sporting events, air show information, Special Management Programs (STMPs), and airport-specific information.” International notices make pilots aware of “FAA-issued flight prohibitions for countries and territories outside the United States, advisory notices on potentially hostile situations abroad, and notices issued by foreign governments and civil aviation authorities,” according to the FAA.
