AOPA Rusty Pilots Seminar
Once a pilot; always a pilot. Returning to the skies is not as difficult as most rusty pilots think. We’re inviting you back into the cockpit and will help you get there. Come and participate in a FREE Rusty Pilot program with fellow lapsed pilots. We will help you understand what’s changed in aviation since you’ve last took the controls and brush up on your aviation knowledge. At the end of the presentation, all attendees will receive their endorsement for completing of the ground training required of a flight review!
Let us know you’re coming, please RSVP.
Michael Goulian "Refine Your Decision Making and Re-define Your Personal Limits" – Main Stage
Airshow pilot and flight school owner Michael Goulian will provide firsthand examples of how seemingly harmless decisions can turn great intentions into near disasters. As Michael says, "everyone makes mistakes, do you learn from yours?”
Dave Hirschman "Spin Myths"– Stage 2
Spins are the aviation equivalent of the schoolyard bully: They have an intimidating reputation, but once confronted they turn out not to seem so tough after all. AOPA Pilot Senior Editor Dave Hirschman, a veteran aerobatic instructor, shows how spins can be understoof, mastered, and even enjoyed.
Bruce Landsberg "Say Again? Radio Communication Done Right" – Main Stage
Stymied by radio chatter every time you fly? Does everybody else get "cleared direct" and you don't? The Air Safety Institute digs deeper into radio communication in this information-packed seminar. Find out how to increase your margin of safety through effective communication with ATC. Don't miss this informative safety seminar designed to improve your communication skills and decrease your workload as a pilot.
John Yodice "What Every Pilot Should Know About FAA Enforcement” – Stage 2
Learn the essentials every pilot must know to make sure that a bad situation is not made worse. This seminar will cover if you should, and how to respond to the FAA, the “get out of jail free” program, when a pilot might need legal help, and how to get it quickly and inexpensively.
David St. George "Flying Club Meeting" – Stage 3
Not sure how to become involved with a flying club, or how to start one yourself? David St. George of East hill Flying Club will help us understand the process of starting and running a successful flying club. There will be plenty of time for questions!
Mark Baker – Main Stage
Some of aviation’s leading manufacturers and product suppliers will be on hand. Shop for all your piloting needs and look at new and unique aircraft.
