Pilots to get answers on Palm Beach tracon consolidation
Pilots to get answers on Palm Beach tracon consolidation
In January, Florida pilots walked away from a public meeting about the West Palm Beach Tracon consolidation with more questions than answers. The FAA couldn’t explain the proposal to consolidate it into the Miami facility or the impact it would have on pilot services. Now, the FAA has answers. At the request of Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.), the FAA will host a public forum at 7 p.m. on April 10 at the Hilton Palm Beach Airport Hotel at Palm Beach International. AOPA Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Melissa Rudinger will attend the meeting to learn more about the FAA’s plan and ensure it will not sacrifice pilot services. Pilots are encouraged to attend.
