At the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition May 4 through 6 in Geneva, Switzerland, Hawker Beechcraft Corp. announced that all new HBC airplanes will be delivered with FAA-approved Part 135 medical kits.
The kits are provided by MedAire, which bills itself as an international SOS company. The kits are designed to address the most common in-flight medical emergencies.
For crew-flown airplanes, customers can also sign up for MedAire’s medical training course. The course is certified by the American Heart Association and the European Resuscitation Council. In addition, HBC will cover the cost of first-year enrollment in MedAire’s MedLink Global Response Center--a 24/7 telemedicine service for direct consultation and advice from board-certified emergency care physicians. This service includes online medical and travel advisories to assist crews in preparing to fly to more than 200 nations.
