Summary:

The Survey Analyst is responsible for working primarily with internal clients to determine and recommend areas for research or analysis including public opinion surveys, market research, and program metrics.  To accomplish this, the Survey Analyst will conduct statistical research analyses by developing research/survey protocols, compiling data, managing databases, analyzing data using specialized statistical computer programs, and presenting research results in numerical and graphic formats.  The Survey Analyst must apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to interpret the data and produce and present substantiated recommendations.  The Survey Analyst will also be responsible for formulating and implementing recommendations and solutions and preparing business proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with internal clients to understand and resolve key strategic business challenges
  • Consult with clients to identify survey needs and specific requirements
  • Plan and design surveys or questionnaires and determine appropriate survey methods to ensure the necessary data is captured
  • Conduct background research on survey topics
  • Test surveys to make sure that people will understand the questions
  • Monitor and evaluate survey progress and performance, using sample disposition reports and response rate calculations
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods and account for and solve problems caused by non-respondents or other sampling issues
  • Analyze data from surveys, old records, or case studies, using statistical software
  • Evaluate surveys, methods, and performance to improve future surveys
  • Author and present reports containing actionable recommendations and summarize survey data using tables, graphs, and fact sheets

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of research/survey experience
  • Strong analytic and critical thinking skillsExceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
  • Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, Qualtrics, and SPSS
  • Basic understanding of business and finance concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Basic SQL and other database skills or demonstrated ability to learn the skills
  • Bachelors or advanced degree
