Step 3: How to Submit Your Comments

Use these three simple steps to submit your comments on the notice of proposed rulemaking, Docket TSA-2008-0021. Comments are due by Feb. 27, 2009.

Step 2: The Public Comments and Submission form

Fill in your personal information (optional), and type your comments in the "Comments" box or attach a separate document containing your comments. AOPA has prepared suggestions to help you submit comments for the LASP.

When you are finished, click the "Next Step" button at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: The Review Comment page

Review comment pageReview the information you have entered. When you are satisfied with your comments, click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to a page confirming the submission of your comments. In addition, please e-mail a copy of your comments to AOPA at GAsecurity@aopa.org.

Step 4: Write your Congressional Representative

Write to your Congressional Representative and tell them how you feel about the proposal. Click here to find your Congressional Representative. Just select your home state from the drop down menu and enter your ZIP code in the form field, and click on the "Contact My Representative" button. You’ll be taken to a page with a link to your representative’s Web site with information and links that you may use to submit comments directly to him or her.
