Catching the Cardinal on a southern tour
With the first cross-country tour a success, the sweepstakes team decided to put together another whistle-stop flight when it came time to bring the 1977 Cessna Cardinal we're refurbishing for this year's sweepstakes back to Georgia following the installation of the new interior. We stopped in Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia and talked to lots of members (and a couple of TV crews) along the way—and filed the Cardinal's first IFR flight plans as N778RD.
