Penn Yan offers discounts
Penn Yan Aero, a leader in engine overhauls, is offering discounted pricing on its Superhawk 180 horsepower supplemental type certificate (STC). The STC covers Cessna 172s with Lycoming O-320-E2D, -H2AD, and –D2J engines.
Customers who have Penn Yan overhaul their current O-320 will receive the 180-hp conversion, a new Sensenich propeller, a Power Flow tuned exhaust, and an Airwolf remove mount oil filter. The package starts at $33,250 assuming the crankcase and crankshaft are repairable. Penn Yan Aero’s overhaul comes with a two-year, 500-hour warranty.
For those customers looking for a factory new engine, Penn Yan Aero has new Lycoming O-360-A4M engines in stock with the same accessories as the overhaul. Prices start at $37,950. Factory new engines come with a factory warranty, roller tappets, and a zero-time logbook.
Either option will give Cessna 172s increased climb, cruise, and, thanks to a gross-weight increase, better useful load.
