PS Engineering unveils audio panel with Bluetooth
PS Engineering introduced a new, FAA-certified audio panel at the Aircraft Electronics Association annual convention in Orlando, Fla. Known as the PMA8000B–T, the audio panel is equipped with Bluetooth, cell phone connections, and a "monitor" mode that automatically mutes the standby frequency whenever someone transmits on the primary frequency.
The PMA8000B–T has a retail price of $2,095.
“I’m an active pilot, and it’s incredible how useful the monitor frequency is when flying IFR,” said Mark Scheuer, founder of the 25-year-old company based in eastern Tennessee.
PS Engineering makes audio panels for the Experimental aircraft market that sell for $995 and FAA-certified versions that start at $1,095.
