Finding AOPA at AirVenture
EAA AirVenture 2009 is just days away. If you plan to visit this year, make sure that AOPA is high on your to-do list.
As you stroll through the gate and get your visitor’s map, look for AOPA’s Big Yellow Tent at a new location. You’ll find us at Booths 193 to 195 near Exhibit Hangar C. AOPA’s 2009 Let’s Go Flying Sweepstakes Cirrus SR22 will be prominently on display--and you’ll want to see the distinctive “GA Serves America” vinyl graphics. You won’t believe it’s a decal!
AOPA staff from Government Affairs, Member Services, and the Pilot Information Center will be on hand to answer your questions and hear your concerns. We love to meet our members, and we’ll have lots of take-aways and prize drawings for that gotta-have gadget, the Garmin GPSMap 496, as well as all-expenses paid trips.
You’ll also have an opportunity to meet AOPA President Craig Fuller at the Big Yellow Tent during AirVenture. Fuller will participate in EAA’s Aviation Summit on Tuesday, July 28, 11:30 a.m. to12:45 p.m. Representatives from major aviation organizations, including AOPA, EAA, and the National Business Aviation Association, will gather to discuss significant issues facing general aviation and what is being done in Washington, D.C., and at the grass-roots level to address them. The event takes place in the Utah Valley University Pavilion.
