Are you up for a challenge?
This week, AOPA Airports online added member-submitted comments to its list of features. These airport and airport business comments provide pilots with helpful, local-level knowledge that can contribute to safer, more enjoyable experiences—in the air and on the ground.
As one of the more than 400,000 AOPA members flying in and out of airports all across the country, you have valuable insight and knowledge that you can share to help your fellow pilots. So take the AOPA Airports Member Comments Challenge and help your association reach a goal of 5,000 new member-submitted comments by Labor Day.
Here are some examples of helpful comments that have already been added:
"Flights into Big Bear [L35] are easy—just watch DA. Had a terrific breakfast at the Barnstomer—great service, good food and coffee. They are now offering international menus on Thursdays. Well worth the trip. -JOELROTHSCHILD"
"This [Advanced Helicopter Concepts at KFDK] is a great school to learn helicopter operations in both a relaxed atmosphere and with the opportunities of flying into high density traffic areas all in one place. -HELICFI"
"A great town to visit and a pretty good airport [PAHO] but bring your own tie-down ropes. During my visit last summer there were none available and the wind was gusting to 20 kts. The airport maintenance man scrounged up some rope for us, and it turned out fine. -BSLOCUM"
