Why motorcycles? “We decided to add an AOPA Motorcycle Insurance Program because almost 20 percent of the AOPA members own motorcycles and we felt this program was a good way to serve additional needs of our membership” says Brenda Jennings, AOPA Insurance Agency Vice President. Additionally, Jennings continued, with every new insurance product we are able to offer, we are providing our members with another path of supporting AOPA since all AOPA Insurance Agency profits are directed back to fulfilling the goals of the broader organization.
Program features include various levels of protection to suit individual policyholder needs as well as many enhanced benefits such as safety apparel replacement costs. Travel loss reimbursement is another nice benefit. If you are rolling down the highway and your motorcycle breaks down, coverage is available for meals, lodging and transportation – even reimbursement for towing if necessary. Coverage options for permanently attached accessories such as windshields and saddles bags is available up to a $3,000 limit.
