Join AOPA on Mediterranean cruise
Members can enjoy “Crossroads of Culture in the Mediterranean”
AOPA members have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the diverse cultures of the Mediterranean while cruising in style aboard the 114-guest Corinthian II. The cruise begins Aug. 29 in Seville, Spain, and ends Sept. 13 in Venice, Italy.
Along the way, AOPA members will attend on-board lectures and have tours hosted by study leaders, all of whom are current professors in art, culture, and religious studies from Ivy League schools such as Yale, Brown, and Dartmouth. The cruise makes more than a dozen stops along the way, starting in Spain and continuing on to Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Sicily, Montenegro, and Croatia before ending in Venice.
The Corinthian II has a crew of 70, where all accommodations are suites. With just 57 suites, all suites are exterior, guaranteeing a Mediterranean view for all passengers. The ship also has a gym, library, dining room, beauty salon, outdoor café, elevators, and a resident physician. The ship’s broad decks are ideal for sunning and relaxation. The Corinthian II complies with all international safety regulations.
Two optional side trips are sure to please AOPA members. One is a hot air balloon ride over the Sierra Nevada in Granada, Spain. The other is a post-cruise opportunity to extend your trip in Venice for two days, complete with guided tours.
“Cruising on the Corinthian II is more like a private yacht than a cruise ship. What’s more, a portion of each booking will go back to AOPA to help support your freedom to fly,” said AOPA Vice President Michelle Peterson.
Detailed information is available online. Because of the limited number of guests accommodated on the Corinthian II, early booking is recommended.
