Login issues with digital edition or AOPA Mags app?

The Dec. 16 ePilot story announcing the AOPA Mags app for the Apple iPad is generating considerable call volume to AOPA, and some members have reported problems logging in. Here’s a checklist for what you should do:

1. Your digital edition password is not the same as your AOPA Online password, unless you chose the same password when you first logged into your digital edition account.
2. You must be a digital subscriber to access the Enhanced Digital Edition, either online or through the app. If you’re not a digital subscriber, you can sign up online. There is no charge if you switch your print magazine to a digital subscription, or you can add on a digital subscription for $10 per year. You will receive a confirmation email with login instructions.
3. Log in to the Enhanced Digital Edition online to establish your subscription, and choose your password, before you download the AOPA Mags app from the App Store. You can choose the same password you use for AOPA Online but it is not set automatically. Your username is your eight-digit AOPA member number (include any leading zeros) and your temporary password is: aopa
4. If you’re already an Enhanced Digital Edition subscriber and have forgotten your password, login to the most recent digital edition, enter your AOPA member number, and click on the “Forgot your password? Click here” link. Your password will be emailed to the address in your AOPA member record. Select your magazine below:
   AOPA Pilot
   Turbine Pilot
   Flight Training
