Meet the 2010 AOPA Sweepstakes Winner
You are the winner! That is a phrase surely everyone would love to hear at least once in their lifetime. Dr. Yorke Brown, a scientific and engineering consultant from Etna, NH, was the lucky one to hear that when he was chosen as the 2010 AOPA Sweepstakes Winner. Dr. Brown entered the sweepstakes and was chosen as the winner of a Remos GX Light Sport Aircraft.
AOPA didn’t just want to call Dr. Brown and tell him he had won, where’s the fun in that? So, along with Redbird Flight Simulators, they concocted a “research study” for Dr. Brown to participate in. As an interactive simulator was being demonstrated to him, the simulator voice announced to him that he was the sweepstakes winner.
Now that Dr. Brown had his aircraft it was time to think about insurance coverage. He decided to place his coverage with AOPAIA and Silka Bulleigh, assistant team lead for Team XRAY, helped him with this process. “Silka was really helpful in laying out the options, clarifying the specifics of each plan and helping me decide on the most useful policy for my particular circumstances,” said Dr. Brown.
