Answering your Cancel Questions

So you want to cancel your insurance policy.  Maybe you sold your aircraft or are putting it on leaseback with a local FBO.  Maybe you are cancelling your renter’s insurance policy because you are now buying a plane.  In any of these cases, in order to best serve you by getting your unearned premium returned to you as quickly as possible there is some information that we need when you call us.

Please have the policy number of the policy you wish to cancel or the tail number of the aircraft that you sold when you call in, as this information is needed to quickly locate your file in our system.  We will also need the date that you sold your aircraft if applicable.

In order to process your request to cancel your policy, we will send you a policy release form to be signed.  We can mail, fax, or email this document to you and you can return this document to us by the same method in most cases.  Some insurance companies require an original signature on the document so in these cases,  your account manager will ask you to return it by mail.

Once we receive your signed policy release form, your policy will be cancelled and a refund issued as soon as we receive confirmation of the return premium from your insurance company.  This is typically a 30 day process from the date we receive the signed document back from you.
