Share Your Passion for Flight

Aviators have tremendous passion for flying, and that passion is one of general aviation’s greatest strengths. When you share your passion you can help grow the pilot population and improve GA’s image. Invite friends and family to attend an aviation event or encourage them to take an introductory flight. You can also share your passion by making a presentation to your local Chamber of Commerce or Rotary club. If you’d like to talk to students about aviation, AOPA offers an online resource to walk you through the planning and preparation needed to arrange a successful classroom visit or a field trip to a local airport. The Pilots and Teachers Handbook (PATH) to Aviation helps introduce youth to aviation by effectively connecting classroom topics such as math, science, physics, history, and technology to the basics of GA. It also serves as an excellent resource for teachers and students.

Once you spark a prospective pilot’s interest—and you will—direct him or her to AOPA’s Let’s Go Flying website for free information and resources, including the monthly Let’s Go Flying e-mail newsletter and a flight school directory.
