FreeFlight offers ADS-B Out transponder for FL180 and above
NextGen avionics manufacturer FreeFlight Systems introduced an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out Mode S transponder for flights in Class A airspace at Heli-Expo in Las Vegas March 5.

Schweiss Doors develops new hydraulic pump
Hangar door manufacturer Schweiss Doors has introduced a new hydraulic pump to power its doors. Schweiss calls it Red Power, and according to a company representative, the pump is stronger and quieter than its previous models. It can be mounted on the wall, from the top of the structure, on the floor, or remotely. There are also many built-in safety mechanisms. Models are available between 2 and 10 horsepower.

Hartzell introduces new prop for Seminole
Hartzell announced the availability of a supplemental type certificate for the two-blade Scimitar Top Prop on the Piper Seminole. According to Hartzell, climb performance is increased by 80 feet per minute with both engines and 50 feet per minute single engine. The conversion sells for $22,600, including spinners.
