Chris Ward Named AOPA’s Vice President of New Product Development and Interactive Marketing

Chris Ward is the newest member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association’s leadership team, filling a newly created position as Vice President of New Product Development and Interactive Marketing. He will oversee AOPA’s efforts to meet members’ online needs for information, products, and services.

"AOPA members rely on us to offer the services and products they need to get the most from their flying," said AOPA President and CEO Craig L. Fuller. "Chris's extensive experience with online publishing and marketing will be invaluable in meeting members’ needs today and into the future."

"AOPA’s websites are full of great stories, video, and information," said Ward. "I’m excited to work with an impressive team to find new and exciting opportunities to serve the General Aviation community online."

Ward has extensive experience in eCommerce. He most recently served as Senior Director of eCommerce for the Bradford Exchange, the worldwide leader in direct marketing of fine collectibles and gifts. Earlier positions include: VP and General Manger of eCommerce for Hanley Wood eMedia; Vice President of eCommerce for Time Life, Inc.; and Director of National Geographic Online. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Ohio State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
