New app lets you enjoy digital editions of 'AOPA Pilot' and 'AOPA Flight Training' magazines on Apple iPad

Frederick, MD – Pilots who want digital access to all the great information in AOPA Pilot and Flight Training magazines can now download and view each issue on their Apple iPad tablets.

Digital-edition subscribers can download the new application from the app store on their iPad devices by searching for “AOPA Mags,” download the app, and then use their membership number and digital-edition password to log in. Doing so will give them automatic access to their enhanced digital subscriptions from AOPA. There is no charge for digital subscribers to download and use the new application.

With live links to extended content, including videos, slideshows, and more, the enhanced digital editions for iPad provide users with an engaging, interactive experience. Turning the tablet to landscape view allows readers to see two-page spreads while the ‘text” option lets users easily read articles from beginning to end.

“This new application makes it easier than ever for readers to access the full range of fun and educational materials provided by AOPA’s digital magazine editions,” said AOPA Editor in Chief and Senior Vice President of Media Tom Haines. “The familiar user interface makes the app easy to enjoy just about anywhere while the rich content available exclusively in the digital editions enhances the reading experience.” The AOPA Mags app provides easy offline reading of the association’s magazines, although you will have to connect to the Internet to view videos and other extended content.

The iPad app is available now to all digital edition subscribers. Readers who have not yet signed up to receive the digital editions can do so by calling 800/USA-AOPA or by visiting www.aopa.org/digitaleditions. Digital editions are available in addition, or as an alternative, to the printed magazines.
