Cuba Gooding, Jr., Star of Upcoming LucasfilmTM Movie Red Tails, About Tuskeegee Airmen, To Visit AOPA Aviation Summit

Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., one of the stars of the upcoming LucasfilmTM movie, Red Tails, will attend Airportfest at the AOPA Aviation Summit this coming Thursday, September 22, where he will visit with the Commemorative Air Force’s Red Tail Squadron and view its rare P-51C Mustang – the type of plane flown by the legendary
Tuskeegee Airmen.
Red Tails, from Executive Producer George Lucas, is directed by Anthony Hemingway, and scheduled for release Jan. 20, 2012. It pays tribute to the Tuskeegee Airmen, the first African American pilots to serve in the U.S. Army Air Corps (now the U.S. Air Force) during World War II.
Cuba Gooding, Jr., will visit the Commemorative Air Force display at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2011, and will be available for a photo opportunity and questions.
