Cirrus

Vision SF50

Cirrus Aircraft’s newly named SF50 aims for simplicity and ease of use. First flight was in July 2008. As of September 2010, the jet has 500 hours on the single-engine, Williams F33-powered, V-tail aircraft. It will carry on the Cirrus tradition of a standard airframe parachute and side yoke controls. The SF50 aims at a 300-knot cruise, 1,000-nm range, and 28,000-foot ceiling and will be available with 5+2 seating. Its avionics suite will be the Garmin 3000 system. Cirrus also designed the plane for approach speeds similar to its current fleet of piston SR22s and to fit in a standard 40-foot hangar.
