(Under certification)
The D-Jet is among the easiest to operate of the very light jet designs, with its single turbofan engine and 25,000-foot maximum operating altitude. And with a 5,690-lb max ramp weight, it’s also the lightest. Recently, the airplane got a power boost when the decision was made to go with a 1,900-lbst Williams FJ33-4A-19 turbofan engine; originally, the D-Jet was designed with a 1,564-lbst Williams engine. Max cruise speed is targeted at 315 knots, and max range is now set at 1,350 nm. A three-screen Garmin G1000 is up front, and the co-pilot seat can be turned around to make a club seating arrangement for up to four passengers. Certification is expected in 2009.
