(Under certification)
The six-seat, 7,300 lb, all-composite Independence first flew in 2006, but the prototype crashed, and certification is now slated for 2010. Spectrum switched from the Williams FJ33-4A-15 to Williams’ FJ33-4A-19 for more power and bleed air. The -19 engine is rated at 1,900 lbst. Spectrum promises a 415-knot max cruise for the twinjet and a full-fuel range of 2,000 nm.
