Waco gets more air time

Dec. 9 � The AOPA sweepstakes Waco UPF-7 benefited from another semi-warm day in Owatonna, Minnesota, December 7 and got another hour of test flying completed with test pilot Ben Redman at the controls. He is the son of Rare Aircraft owner Roy Redman. The engine requires about 15 hours of flight at reasonable temperatures for proper break-in. At extremely cold temperatures, oil would congeal on the cylinder walls and coat them. Shown here are two takeoff pictures, a flyby, and test pilot Redman.
