Shuttle landing delayed at least one day
Weather forecast not much better tomorrow
The space shuttle Endeavour will remain in orbit at least one more day, after two landing windows were scrubbed due to weather. They'll have two more opportunities on Tuesday.
The FAA has lifted the notam that activated restricted and warning areas near the Kennedy Space Center Monday morning, and a new notam reactivating them Tuesday morning at 8:26 a.m. local has been issued.
Endeavour has enough food and fuel to remain in orbit until Thursday. The alternate landing site at Edwards Air Force Base in California could be readied beginning Tuesday, but the forecast there calls for high winds. There is a second alternate landing site at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
