Two-day "no-fly" zone over Milwaukee during All-Star Game activities

July 5, 2002 — Responding to requests from security officials, the FAA has implemented a temporary flight restriction over Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and pre-game festivities in Milwaukee on Monday and Tuesday, July 8 and 9. The FAA notam establishes a 13-nm radius and up to 10,000 feet TFR that is centered on Miller Park Stadium in Milwaukee, in effect from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. both days.

Pilots are warned that the FAA and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are taking any TFR incursions very seriously. Strong penalties, up to and including certificate action against pilots, are possible. In addition, the Department of Defense is using combat air patrols to enforce national security TFRs. AOPA has developed a graphical depiction of the restriction to assist members in understanding the "no fly" zone.
