Refuel your aircraft, help a GA airport at the same time
In the future, when you refuel your aircraft in Georgia, you could be helping to maintain the public-use airports you so often use. A proposed amendment to the state constitution would allocate funds that already are collected through aviation fuel taxes to be used to provide and maintain an adequate system of public-use airports in the state. "AOPA has expressed strong support for the resolution," said Andy Cebula, AOPA executive vice president of government affairs. "This makes sense that the taxes members already pay to use the aviation system would be returned to maintain that system. Just by doing what you love, flying, you could be helping boost the quality of the very airports you use to get in the air."
