Get involved: Aviation summit on FAA funding in your area

Now's your chance to help AOPA in the FAA funding debate. AOPA member and general aviation pilot Rep. Vern Ehlers will be hosting an aviation summit Oct. 8, and you're encouraged to share your views on FAA funding. Three panels of aviation experts will discuss air traffic control and NextGen technologies, the impact of aviation on the western Michigan economy, and an update on the FAA reauthorization bill. Ehlers, a member of the House aviation subcommittee, has been a vocal opponent of user fees and helped to craft a solid FAA reauthorization proposal. The summit will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, in the Northern Air hangar at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids.
