Florida creates GA week to coincide with Sun ’n Fun

All of Florida will be celebrating general aviation week April 8 through 13 thanks to a resolution sponsored by Sen. Paula Dockery, who represents the Lakeland area. The resolution cites the many contributions GA makes to the state, including bringing some 9 million visitors a year. The resolution also notes that more than 85 percent of all aviation operations in Florida are conducted by GA and that the state has the largest flight training industry in the nation.
