Blue Ash takes first step toward revitalization

The city of Cincinnati has filed a “pre-application” for close to $9 million in federal grant funds, marking the first step toward ensuring the future of Blue Ash Airport. The airport, which is located in the city of Blue Ash but owned and operated by the city of Cincinnati, has been under threat of closure for years. But intervention from AOPA and airport supporters led the two cities to strike a deal, promising to protect the airport and build a park, aviation museum, and other community facilities nearby.
