Pilots urged to tell FAA of tracon concerns

Pilots who are concerned about plans to consolidate the West Palm Beach Tracon into the Miami facility will have the opportunity to tell the FAA about their worries during an upcoming public meeting. The meeting is scheduled for May 13 at the Holiday Inn Palm Beach Conference Center, 1301 Belvedere Road, at 7 p.m. “AOPA is telling the FAA what matters to our members, but they also need to hear from individual pilots who use the system,” said Melissa Rudinger, AOPA vice president of regulatory affairs. “We need pilots to take the initiative to tell the FAA exactly what services they need and want following the consolidation.” An AOPA representative also will attend the meeting, which is the third public forum to be held in the Palm Beach area.
