Foundation works with state to educate Florida pilots

More than 34,000 Florida pilots will soon be receiving CDs containing two of the AOPA Air Safety Foundation’s most popular interactive courses. The mailing, part of a safety outreach campaign, is a cooperative effort of the foundation, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Florida Airports Council. Each CD contains the GPS for VFR Operations and GPS for IFR Operations courses. Each course takes about an hour to complete and includes information on how GPS works and how to get the most from the technology. The AOPA Air Safety Foundation is working with state aviation officials across the country to bring safety information and education to pilots.
