Massachusetts sales tax exemption to remain in effect

In a victory for the entire aviation community, the aviation sales tax exemption will remain law in Massachusetts. For months, AOPA and local aviation groups have worked tirelessly to demonstrate the value of retaining the tax exemption in the face of opposition from Gov. Deval Patrick, who wanted to repeal the exemption from the state’s 5-percent sales-and-use tax for aircraft and parts. Read more on AOPA Online.
