Kansas seeks input on new 10-year transportation plan
Kansas is approaching the conclusion of a 10-year comprehensive transportation plan adopted by the governor and state legislature in 1999. Now, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has appointed a task force, called Kansas T-LINK, to help develop a new strategic approach for future transportation needs. The new plan will include funding for the state’s aviation program, which currently receives about $3 million a year. The funding must be maintained and increased in the new transportation plan.
