New T-route allows pilots to bypass Portland Class C
In an effort to increase air traffic efficiency and safety, the FAA has created a new T-route (T-276) that will allow pilots on IFR flight plans in aircraft with IFR-certified GPS receivers to bypass the busy Portland, Ore., Class C airspace. AOPA had commented in support of the T-route, while some local members raised concerns about possible upslope icing in the area. Read more on AOPA Online.
