Apr. 10 - The grand prize in AOPA's Centennial of Flight Sweepstakes made its debut at the Sun 'n Fun EAA Fly-In in Lakeland, Florida, last week. The airplane is now in Fort Pierce, Florida, ready to start the journey back to Frederick, Maryland, as soon as strong winds subside. Photographs taken yesterday of the airplane will appear in a future issue of AOPA Pilot.
The FAA has asked the National Transportation Safety Board to review a judge’s ruling reversing a fine it levied in an unmanned-aircraft case.
The Tucson Soaring Club is trying to grow the sport by training the next generation of glider pilots.
Able Flight has received and $8,000 check from the AOPA Foundation.
