Collision Avoidance

All the energy expended worrying about mid-air collisions seems to be put to good use: they remain extremely rare. More common are collisions with wildlife, vehicles, and other relatively small obstructions on or close to the ground—but larger-scale features like power lines, towers, and even hillsides are the things aircraft hit most often.
