If you are unable to attend the special meeting of members in person, you may appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf by following the instructions below.
If you recently designated a proxy for the May Annual Meeting of Members and you have not revoked that designation and it has not expired (valid for 11 months unless you specified otherwise), it remains in effect for this special meeting.
To designate AOPA Trustees, log in to your account at www.aopa.org, click "My Account" to navigate to the "Membership Information" page, scroll down to "Proxy Status," and click "Extend." On the AOPA Proxy Webpage, scroll to the bottom and click "Extend Proxy" to complete your designation.
To designate another person as your voting proxy, send a written notice to the Secretary of AOPA by email to [email protected] before the special meeting takes place. Your notice should include all of the following:
Be sure to inform the individual you are designating as your proxy that they have been named to serve in this capacity. When checking-in at the registration table on the day of the special meeting, your designated proxy should receive the appropriate proxy ballot. If they do not receive this proxy ballot at check-in, they should ask for it directly, as it is separate from the standard ballot.
To revoke a previously submitted proxy without designating a replacement, send a written notice to the Secretary of AOPA by email to [email protected] before the annual meeting takes place. Your notice must include all of the following:
