Receptionist

Position Summary:

Greets visitors, answers phones calls and emails in a friendly and professional manner. Responds directly or directs visitors and callers to appropriate staff member. Accepts deliveries and notifies recipients, ensure sign-in and security procedures are handled properly. As requested makes general building wide announcements. May perform other miscellaneous duties such as data entry. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors to the association and answer phones timely
  • Maintains a clean reception area
  • Contributes to the Member Services team by responding to member emails 
  • Perform data entry of tour records and logs
  • Make association wide announcements over the intercom
  • Other duties as required

Experience and Education Requirements

  •  High school diploma or equivalent along with two to three years of prior switchboard and administrative experience required. 
  • Friendly, calm, courteous demeanor both in-person and over the telephone. 
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines. 
  • Must enjoy working independently and part of a team. Independent judgment, initiative, and discretion will be required. 
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Prior experience performing data entry and basic letter writing. 
  • Working hours 8:30 am until 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch.
