The WAI-CLE Annual Meeting, at the International Women's Air and Space Museum starting at 6:00pm. You will find us in the conference room where light refreshments will be provided. We will go over official chapter business as well as hold elections to vote in new Chapter Officers.
Chapter Dues will also be collected at the meeting, $20 Individual Membership or
$15 Student Membership. If you can not attend the meeting you can also pay on the WAI-CLE website; http://www.waicleveland.org/membership/

If you are interested in running for office please let Chapter President Leah Hetzel know before the meeting so we can announce your interest. Need not be present, but highly encouraged, to be elected. All present Chapter Officers are stepping down. The current Officers are wishing to pursue other roles within the organization including, serving as Directors to oversee chapter events throughout the 2015 year. Please consider running for a 1 year term for the following positions:
President. The President shall serve as chairman for all meetings of members. The President shall have general charge of WAI-CLE business. The President shall act as Chief Executive Officer and jointly execute with the appropriate officer all contracts and instruments pertaining to WAI-CLE. The President may delegate to any other member any of the duties designated to the President. The President is responsible for public relations and representing the chapter at all public functions and shall perform all business and duties customarily pertaining to the office of the President.
Vice President. The Vice President shall exercise all the powers, authority and duties of the President during the absence or disability of the President and shall perform all business and duties customarily pertaining to the office of the Vice President. The Vice President shall appoint and dissolve committees and act as Executive Oversight Member for all committees.
Secretary. The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all proceedings of meetings and shall provide notices of all meetings. The Secretary shall perform all duties incident to the office and connected with the operation of the organization, subject to the direction and control of the President. The Secretary is responsible for the oversight and delegation of WAI-CLE’s online presence (i.e. website, social media). The Secretary shall work with the Membership Committee to maintain accurate membership records and shall ensure that all WAI-CLE members are WAI members.
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall receive and deposit all funds for the organization in the bank or banks selected by the officers. The Treasurer and the President and/or Vice President shall jointly execute all checks. The Treasurer shall be responsible for the collection of dues and, with the Secretary, provide notification to members of receipt of payment; additionally, the Treasurer shall maintain a current list of who has or has not paid dues. The Treasurer shall be responsible for sending funds as needed to WAI and shall provide quarterly and annual reports for WAI-CLE members. The Treasurer shall perform all duties incident to the office and connected to the organization, subject to the direction and control of the President.
Membership Committee Chair Membership Committee, which shall provide recommendations to the members for at least one annual membership recruitment event. The Membership Committee shall work with the Sectary to maintain accurate membership records and shall ensure that all WAI-CLE members are WAI members.
Outreach Committee Chair Outreach Committee, which shall provide recommendations to the members for at least one annual educational or mentoring outreach project.
