NTSB notes accident uptick
The number of aviation accidents and fatalities edged up in 2018 following a year of record safety achievement, according to the latest data from the National Transportation Safety Board. Civil aviation accidents rose from 1,316 to 1,347, while fatalities increased from 346 to 393 for the calendar year. READ MORE ›
'Trade-a-Plane' goes all-digital
Trade-a-Plane will cease its print publication to focus on its digital platform. The last print edition will be on December 3, said Megan Ironside, chief communications officer of Colby Harrison Co., the publisher. The company cited the ever-increasing costs of printing, paper, people, and postage as factors, but said the decision to discontinue the print publication was not easy. READ MORE ›

AeroGuard Flight Training Center adds Florida location
AeroGuard Flight Training Center, Phoenix, Arizona, announced Nov. 13 it is opening a campus in Punta Gorda, Florida. It is the company's fifth location and first location on the East Coast. Other locations are in Riverside, California; Austin, Texas; Chandler, Arizona; and Phoenix. AeroGuard offers accelerated commercial pilot training to pilots from around the world and said it has graduated more than 6,000 cadets.
