Redbird Migration goes virtual this year

Your chance to get in on the action

Redbird Migration celebrates an anniversary in 2020—10 years of helping flight training professionals brainstorm and thrive in an ever-changing industry.

This year the event’s going virtual, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that’s great news for flight training professionals, because you won’t have to take time away from your business to travel to Redbird Migration. Instead, Redbird Migration is coming to you on October 21 and 22.

Redbird Migration Flight Training Conference, hosted by Redbird Flight Simulations, helps its participants share best practices and get innovative solutions. The ability to do any sort of networking this year is going to be invaluable, considering the obstacles the flight training industry has faced in 2020.

This year’s speakers will include NTSB Vice Chairman Bruce Landsberg and Hartzell Propeller Chairman Joe Brown, along with health care flight program professionals Christopher Manacci and Celeste Alfes.

In years past, AOPA’s You Can Fly program utilized Redbird Migration to unveil the results of its annual AOPA Flight Training Experience Survey and in-person awards for outstanding flight instructors and flight schools. We’re not doing that this year, because of the pandemic. Instead, we will share stories from the flight training community that inspire, demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges, and show how the flight training industry contributes to aviation and the community at large. We will do this by presenting video vignettes during the virtual Migration.

Redbird Flight Simulations CEO Todd Willinger said that taking Migration “directly into the homes and offices of flight training professionals” while still allowing them time to focus on their businesses “is the best way to gather our whole community responsibly and effectively.”

The flight training industry is starting to rebound from the early part of 2020, but aviation in general still has a tough road ahead. I encourage you to log on and check out Migration and see if you can glean some ideas and inspiration to take back to your own flight school.
