Tecnam P2010 TDI earns FAA certification
The FAA has awarded Tecnam Aircraft’s P2010 TDI with a type certificate. This version of the four-seat piston aircraft is an update of the P2010 that received type certification in 2015. It is said to be more fuel efficient as its Continental engine burns diesel and Jet A, which Tecnam said will lower operating costs for consumers. READ MORE ›
ATP Flight School graduates 10,000th ATP CPT student
ATP Flight School announced November 30 it has graduated its 10,000th airline transport pilot certification training program applicant. ATP launched the program in 2015 in Dallas, Texas, and claims it is now the largest provider of ATP CTP training for the nation’s airlines in the United States. The program is designed to be completed with zero time within seven months. ATP Flight School has 70 locations.
Bahamas, Caribbean open to general aviation
If your customers are ready to escape the cold weather or are planning a vacation early in the new year, the Bahamas and Caribbean are open to international general aviation flights. Before flying, pilots should check current COVID-19 testing requirements. READ MORE ›
NY flight school looks to partner with local community college
The yet-to-be-opened Niagara Falls Flight Academy and Niagara County Community College in New York announced they will partner to develop a comprehensive aviation curriculum that includes components of flight training, maintenance, and technician training in a two-year degree program. Phase one of the project will focus on flight training, with phase two to focus on maintenance and technician training. Niagara Falls Flight Academy is set to open in fall 2022, according to the Niagara Falls Tribune/Sentinel.
