Registration open for Redbird Migration 2022
Registration is now open for the Redbird Migration Flight Training Conference, happening February 8 through 9 in Lakeland, Florida. After moving to a virtual event in 2020, the conference makes its return to in-person meetings at a new location in Lakeland and makes a permanent move to the first quarter of the year from its usual timeframe in October. Lunken advises against flying under bridges
Ohio aviation writer Martha Lunken became a 14,000-hour private pilot on Christmas Eve, nearly 60 years after passing her first such checkride. The FAA revoked Lunken's pilot certificates in April 2021 following a yearlong investigation prompted by a highway camera on the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge in southwestern Ohio that captured an image of Lunken's aircraft passing below the 440-foot span over the Little Miami River. FlightSafety International buys Frasca
Frasca International, a family-owned flight simulator company in Urbana, Illinois, has been acquired by FlightSafety International. Frasca announced the sale on January 6 but has also stated that it will keep operating under the Frasca International name and that there will be no major changes for the operation. READ MORE ›

They are NTSB Insider: Accident Investigations Revealed; Flight Deck Tech: Strategies for Optimizing Modern Avionics; Flying the Backcountry: Risks and Rewards; and Weather Flying: Safety for All Seasons. Each series includes three webinars, giving audiences an opportunity to attend one webinar each month. Webinars will be recorded and published to the same web page for viewing later.
