Graphic DesignerGraphic Designer

Position Summary

Provide production-based design for projects to support the organization’s overall vision. Graphic Designer lives and breathes design, typography, color theory, and composition. Responsible for creating stunning visuals for both print and digital media. Utilize both internal/external resources to ensure projects are properly prioritized and sourced to retain a high level of quality. Project scopes are broad, spanning from updating existing projects and event signage to designing publications. Additionally, they provide value-added consultation while interfacing with the various departments on assigned projects. Designer will work closely with creative team, marketers and Sr Design Manager, to translate marketing and brand strategies into comps that render beautifully in print and code while delivering on defined objectives of user response, ROI and brand impact.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop & design internal/external communications as well as promotional materials for the association.
  • Possess understanding of multimedia design and a user focused design experience building files for both print and digital Interfaces.
  • Provides timely communication with in-house partners to discuss project ideas, components, schedules, and concerns.  
  • Use creative and production knowledge to manage expectations, suggest most effective course of action, ways to maximize budgets, and effective communications.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects and remain flexible through multiple revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail and positive attitude.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field.
  • Ability to multi-task several different projects under strict deadlines. 
  • Demonstrate hands-on skills in the latest Adobe Creative Suite
  • An understanding of the printing and production process including, 4-color+ process, spot color, bindery, pre-press, fulfillment, and mailshop operations.
  • Possess a killer portfolio with variety of industries and deliverables represented
  • Basic knowledge of aviation is desired
  • Demonstrated ability to create user centered and functional digital design.
  • Understanding of variations on executing brand design language across web, mobile, digital content, video, and print.
  • Photography/basic knowledge of video editing a plus.
