Marketing Program CoordinatorMarketing Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The Marketing Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and developing marketing efforts for select product programs.  This role assists and supports the Program Director in detailed marketing planning, budget development, communications, production and analysis reporting within the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and external partners, vendors, and agencies. Products will range from branded merchandise, to paid and free online products and services.

1.) Product Oversight:  Oversight and coordination of all aspects of branded merchandise product. Duties include, but are not limited to: determining what branded merchandise is carried, creative input in designing new merchandise, develop merchandise pricing model, manage, track, plan and measure all monthly print and digital marketing efforts, track and monitor monthly sales to gauge profitability, monitor financial models and budgets, manage relationship with outside vendor, review all material developed by partners/vendors to ensure AOPA and program message is on strategy and is represented correctly from a tone, design, and member position.

2.) Program Coordination: For select programs and products, duties include: vendor/partner relations, marketing budget development and management, marketing plan development, scheduling and coordination, revenue and expense responsibility, member communication and ongoing program maintenance.

3.) AOPA partner, vendor, and marketing agency communication:  Establishes and maintains relationships with key partners.  Manages activities, research, and correspondence.  Manages marketing agency relationships as well as production and inventory.

4.) Marketing Coordination: Oversee budgets for marketing promotions and for creative productions with in-house departments and external stakeholders. Responsible for executing program marketing campaigns across all relevant marketing channels.  Develop and maintain marketing schedules, expense tracking, data requests, printing/production.

5.) Marketing and Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Recommendations: Produce status reports on marketing initiatives and financial status of programs including response/cost benefit and data analysis for each program. Develop, generate, and provide marketing analysis reports indicating initiative progress/response for efforts.

6.) All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business and communications, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years’ work experience in a multitask environment or previous experience in a direct marketing, business management and/or association environment helpful.   
  • Previous Retail experience a plus.
  • Must possess: excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, professional attitude, multiple project management skills and an attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Must also be proficient in word processing, advanced spreadsheets, formulas, and financial models.
  • Travel required.
