"Mastering the Art of Instrument Navigation"
Lockheed Martin has been FAA’s Service Provider for Flight Service operations since late 2005. In response to pilots, Lockheed Martin has invested significantly in Flight Service-specific research and development, and rapidly modernizing Flight Service with new, easy-to-use, safety and efficiency capabilities. We introduced the first of these at AOPA Summit in late 2012, and have been improving them or implementing additional services on a regular basis. Most of these services are totally new and not otherwise available.
Every pilot knows traditional online, textual preflight briefings are large and difficult to read. This presentation provides an overview of NextGen Briefings, a free service that makes briefings easy to understand. We’ll also touch on other free, safety-oriented capabilities such as Adverse Condition Alerting Service, Surveillance-Enhanced Search and Rescue, and the new Departure Advisor tool. Presenter: Joe Daniele, Senior Systems Engineer. Don't miss it!
