Our guest speaker for the 1st Saturday in April Aviation Program and Pancake Breakfast will be Mr. Paul Morel, Director of Partner Performance of the informative internet calendar of events program, SocialFlight. SocialFlight (www.SocialFlight.com) was created by pilots for pilots. Morel has always been a big supporter of general aviation and took advantage of his knowledge of the social media technology by designing a free app that would get more pilots and aviation enthusiasts off the couch and giving them a reason to fly.
SocialFlight is not only an informative calendar of events, but once a week, as an email broadcast, is sent to all registered users of upcoming events in their area. Along with educational webinars, SocialFlight now has well over 100 educational and informative videos on pilot training, safety, aircraft ownership, maintenance, products and even areas where everyone can share their experiences. SocialFlight is committed to promoting general aviation and keeping it strong.
Paul, a retired Delta dispatcher currently does contract work for Delta in the charter department. He has been a private pilot for over 25 years and shortly after retirement, started one of his lifelong dreams of building his own airplane. Morel completed his Kitfox Speedster in 2009 and is now working on another. He teamed up with his close friend, Jeff Simon, and with many hours of collaboration and discussions, SocialFlight came into existence.
